Besieged for almost 6 months, the dwellers of the towns of Nabal and Al-Zahra near the Syrian city of Aleppo are faced with numerous hardships: their food supplies are harshly dissipated, their cooking gas is cut and there is hardly any petroleum left; to add insult to injury, their youths are often abducted by armed terrorists taking refuge in surrounding villages. The only respite is the heliborne aid they get from the Syrian Army.
“Syria: Behind the lines” tries to bring to light the adversities that these 60,000 people have to cope with; adversities that have been inflicted upon them by Takfiri fighters who have been sowing sectarianism in the region. And, to depict the unabated will of these people to resist and protect what is rightfully theirs.
