Palmer Divide, Colorado
We have been very fortunate to have a hummingbird feeder right outside our bedroom window.
We are also lucky to not have the large number of bears come after the sweet nectar in the feeder.
By this time of the year we are refilling the feeder every other day as we have over 20 Ruby-throated, Broad-tailed, and Rufus hummingbirds continuously trying to drink their share.
If we are late, we hear from the hummers - they buzz us in their high speed dives and maneuvers.
Today we had one of those unique days of the Colorado summer.
Temperatures were in the high 50's and we had a heavy cloud cover.
We also had a good amount of rain from last night until this morning.
