For the longest time, my favorite thing about the film was Francis Abbey's introductory narration. It set a great mythical tone for the piece and his voice practically oozed with grandeur.
So naturally, we decided to cut it in favor of a more personalized approach to the story, once our initial audiences pointed out how difficult it was to identify with the main character. So we re-wrote and re-recorded the intro narration from Suzy's perspective, and poor Francis's voice work was left on the cutting room floor.
