I caught this little bear (probably about 2.5 years old) up by a watering hole on the dry hillside of a mountain in the interior of BC. By caught I mean on my trail cam - just in case you were wondering.
Summer is a tough time for bears up here as there is little water and food is scarce until the berries ripen. Unfortunately a lot of bears end up going into town where they compromise the safety of the citizens and in turn, end up compromising their own safety. This year the berry crop looks decent so hopefully the bears will remain in the wild and the towns people will remember to keep their garbage and other bear attractants secure.
