This recently updated video project was originally completed in 2005 for MorningStar Fellowship Church, an international ministry located in Fort Mill, SC, in the newly-restored Heritage USA (PTL) property, made famous in the 1980's through the ministry of Jim and Tammy Bakker.
The project briefly covers the rise and fall of PTL, Jim Bakker's early release from prison, and MorningStar's journey from purchasing the distressed property through to the beginning stages of its restoration.
I was privileged to be a part of the creative team on this project - producing, directing, editing and writing the script, as well as lighting and shooting the interviews and b-roll, and adding my voice as the Narrator to the film.
Tiffany Taylor produced the project with me and was the originator of the idea, supplying the vision for the documentary, which was to tell the story of the PTL property for those of this generation who may not know anything about Jim and Tammy Bakker and Heritage USA, as well as introduce the new owners, MorningStar, to people who knew of PTL, especially former partners of the ministry.
The motion graphics were created by a talented designer, Matt Twitchell, and the music came from various artists, including Leonard Jones, Don Potter, Brian Whalen & Andy Kurzweg, Kelanie Gloeckler, and Stephen Roach.
