A few weeks ago my brother, father, and I took a trip to my father's home town of Appalachia in Wise County, Virginia. I hadn't been there in nearly 20 years, and it was a great way to connect not only with my dad and brother, but also helped me feel just a bit closer with my late grandfather, Buford. As we were there to see the sights of Appalachia, Big Stone Gap, Norton and the rest of Wise County and visit with family, I wasn't able to film as much as I'd have liked, and everything I did shoot was real run and gun. This is a roughly chronological look at the full day we spent there.
Shot on a Canon T2i with a 28mm-135mm f/3.5 lens.
