"Zion Station" check the video check the vibration"
Now celebrating its fourth year anniversary; Zion Station was borne of a tireless energy that creates a unique atmosphere for communication amongst all the participants and visitors. The festival continues to grow from its roots in one of nature's most beautiful settings; Zion Station has bloomed and each year showcased some interesting innovations while always focusing on the best in Sound System culture -- Reggae Roots style. Think about the Root, the unique setting; the Lake Yard and its afternoon sessions on the shores of Zion Station's beautiful lake provide a visual beauty that shines in harmony with the earth Bass vibrations. All the people at Zion station will be dancing in the cool shade of the trees by the lake - and when it gets too hot? You can just jump in -- inna reggae riddim! Here you can restore your own vital energies in the "naturality" of Zion Station's beautiful setting.
Another unique feature from last year was the structure made by the "No Dump" collective for the "relaxation area", "The cubes and the bonfire ". In the hot July nights "The cubes and the bonfire" created a meeting place where many relaxed, listening to music, while enjoying the convenience of jute bags and the beautiful lights of the lamps floating in the darkness. These structures have functioned as "Info points" where we help our participants and visitors with practical advice and information on services; such as organizing transports from the closest cities (Ferrara and Bologna) and managing the car sharing service. Zion Station Festival also promotes forms of association between people, the auto-sustainability philosophy adopted by the festival led to a dramatic reduction in the amount of journeys and reduced the impact on the environment, as well as creating space for people to act together, share experiences and become part of Zion Station's community vibration. At Zion Station you can be a part of an international family; we provide workshops; discussions, a great choice of good foods as well as, "art's and craft's" from all over the world.
The artistic themes have also seen some changes and developments during the growth of the Festival: the first year saw the return to Italy of the legendary Jah Tubbys for their fortieth Anniversary. In the second year, Zion Station introduced the "master and pupil" dialogue formulae with Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti I. Then, during the third year, a huge live stage was built for the, "Natural Dub Cluster" live act while the festival itself was dedicated to the various nuances of the European dub reggae scene and featured top level sessions from; Aba Shanti I and Channel One, the OBF, but also the Italian veterans; Moa Anbessa , Dread lion , Black Star Line and Linea di Massa. This session in particular was a testament to the fact that the Italian roots and dub sound system scene had reached a crucial turning point in terms of its artistic and professional development. At Zion Station you will witness historic, virtuos Sound Sessions as the Systems quake together to reach the sublime heights of Bass culture.
Zion Station Festival 2014 will continue to cultivate new ideas and innovations while growing and stretching forth creatively. This year Zion Station will provide the opportunity for an Italian crew to play on the saturday, not before the top international sounds (warming up the session as is usually the case across the scene) but alongside them, yes, "inna conference style" -- jamming and vibing together. This will be a real testament to the high level reached by our sound systems and producers. Some of the confirmed artists for 2014 edition are VIBRONICS, DUBKASM and IMPERIAL SOUND ARMY, and more will be announced in the next months. Moreover, an Italian conference/clash session is confirmed during the first day and an international conference on the second day of the festival.
Zion Station Festival is an evolving movement that will always give new emotions to the massive through music, workshops, debates and cultural spaces.
