This video tells the story of a 1-week fabrication / improvisation workshop in and around Bangkok titled "Not Knowing." It also thanks the workshop's directors, David and Im Schafer of Studiomake.
Following the catastrophic flood in Thailand (July 2011 - January 2012), students from the course "Inundation 2" at University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning join the firm Studiomake and students / faculty from Rangsit University's department of Art and Design to build a prototype of an "affordable, smart, ready-for-action emergency shelter for Habitat for Humanity Thailand. The project aims to quickly assist under-privileged communities with shelter in their times of need, and subsequently provide construction material for the rebuilding of their homes." ~ David and Im Schafer
