Just got my Canon 5D Mark II - Charged the battery and ran outside to test it and see how the footage looks.
This was mildly color corrected to mute the saturation, and warm the image.
I bought this primarily to take photos, otherwise I would likely have opted for the 7D. I do own an HVX200a with Letus Adapter. Initial response with no real testing, so keep that in mind, is that the image looks great, a tad more contrasty and saturated than I would like, at least out of the box, but I have yet to spend any real time seeing if the image can be tweaked in camera. I do like the HVX200a Letus combo better for color correction, but you can beat the portability and weight difference advantage the 5D has...
This was shot with a Nikon 85mm 1.4 AIs wide open using a Fotodiox to adapt it to the Canon.
