In many areas of the world, general health care and medically treatable disease and illness are a real issue. There are people groups around the world with limited access to not just quality healthcare, but also educational resources. This creates a cycle of struggle. But there is more than just health at stake, too, because many men and women are told that the only way they can survive is to abandon their culture and work in cities. Wycliffe is often involved with working in communities to not only translate the Bible, but also information on health-related issues. Wycliffe serves to provide care for the whole person — both spiritual and physical — and preserve their dignity.
Wycliffe’s mission is to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025
