“First Wave” is a branding reel which features 12 of the most compelling logos I helped create at my agency Rayhawk Corporation (rayhawk.com)
One of the hardest parts about creating this reel was picking which logos to include. Over my career I have helped create numerous brands and I am proud of nearly all of them. Therefore, choosing the best twelve for this reel left many of my favorite logo creations on the cutting room floor. I guess that is why I chose to call this video the “First Wave” because I am looking forward to producing future reels exhibiting the rest of the fantastic work which was excluded from this first video.
In creating the reel I wanted to take a different approach to showcasing the logos. Since branding is typically presented in a two dimensional format, I thought it would be an interesting challenge to render the logos using advanced 3D animation techniques which would allow the audience to explore my work from unconventional vantage points.
With this goal in place I set out to establish the animation’s style. Ultimately, I decided key elements of each logo would be displayed in the background with the entire brand highlighted in foreground. This strategy would allow the audience the unique opportunity to experience the logos from two varying perspectives simultaneously.
To deliver the final output I relied on two things: (i) the extremely talented people who work at Rayhawk, and (ii) WideLeap™ - a proprietary technique I developed long ago to create digital fine art. While in the past I have primarily utilized WideLeap to produce my ultra-high fidelity artwork, I am glad I decided to explore how this methodology can be applied in other arenas. The results speak for themselves: a dynamic and vibrant video with stunning clarity and details (my bias is fairly overt).
Lastly, I selected the right soundtrack to help bring the video to life. I decide to use something very cinematic and heroic to give each featured brand a sense of energy, strength, and gravity. Hopefully the music will make the reel feel uplifting and not overbearing.

I am an artist, creative director, and physician (in alphabetically order). With over two decades of experience in the healthcare and media sectors I have gained a unique perspective on brand management and content development. After earning my medical degree I have had the privilege of working with some of the most successful and prestigious global organizations. In the process I have had the good fortune of being able to meaningfully contribute to their digital branding and marketing initiatives.
While studying at New York Medical College I coined the proprietary term Meaningful Weight Loss™ (meaningfulweightloss.com). Today Meaningful Weight Loss is the cornerstone of my Dr. Food® Lifestyle (drfood.com) which helps overweight and obese people across the country lose weight and stay slim.
In 1999 I founded Rayhawk Corporation, a full-service creative agency serving a wide range of industries and sectors. Over the years I have had the pleasure of helping grow this company into a talented group of brand managers, online strategists, animators, copywriters, graphic designers, web developers, and programmers.
In 2005, I created the WideLeap™ methodology which has subsequently set the world record for native digital source resolution. I have used this technique to create a collection of fine art which possesses an intense level of visual detail.
I am the product of an upbringing which spans three continents. I bring this unique background and diverse set of experiences to all that I do and create.
