One of the many beautiful people in our audience; Alice, requested this number. It was a good call because she's rarely heard it, and we've rarely played it as a group, so we added it to our repertoire; and voila, here it is for all to enjoy. I must say it was a rather spirited performance; even though it's about a guy going down to an infirmary to see his girl friend who's past on.
Here are the lyrics to the song if anyone would like to sing along with the music. Oh by the way, if you'd like to hire us for your next event, give me a call at 781-298-1986.
All the Best, Clifford
I went down to St. James Infirmary,
Saw my baby there,
Stretched out on a long white table,
So cold, so sweet, so fair.
Let her go, let her go, God bless her,
Wherever she may be,
She can look this wide world over,
But she'll never find a sweet man like me.
