Home is the place from which every journey begins and, ultimately, where every journey ends. The Social Geographer Yi Fu Tuan writes that, ‘a place acquires meaning through a slow process of ‘sentiment’. It is the small, perhaps quiet, moments rather than dramatic events that create affection for place.
It is memory of place, affection, nostalgia and the myths we author that saturate this work. Delicate and dreamlike, just a little impossible and with, hopefully, a touch of magic it teeters preposterously on spider limbs. It is an echo of a memory, it is there and not there.
