Children from the Weinland Park community of Columbus, Ohio present a virtual workshop on some universal rules for safety while riding a bicycle. Wearing a helmet and displaying a light at night are the two most important rules, the children explain. They are in the neighborhood park of Weinland Park, while grownups, riding around town, demonstrate biking rules while commuting to and from work. This project - which includes a giveaway of standard equipment bicycle lights - is presented by the City of Columbus, Ohio, Dept. of Public Safety, and the Weinland Park Community Civic Assoc.; additional support by the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), Third Hand Bicycle Cooperative, and Portland Design Works; Evelyn Van Till (photo of bicycle racers), and Columbus downtown photo © 2013 Byg Day, LLC, all rights reserved.
