Started from pole, and was leading into the first corner. But it went downhill after that.
Found the car had high speed oversteer (turn 4, lap one was quite exciting!!!!!!), and the brakes lacked efficiency following an engineering adjustment overnight.
The result was that I slipped to 2nd, and then outbraked myself on the 5 or 6 lap, hit a high kerb, flew through the air, and when I landed I suffered a compression fracture to my T5 vertebrae. That knocked the wind out of me, bent some of the suspension, and cracked some of the aero devices. So the car was slow, unpredictable and wounded, as was the driver. But I clung on to finish 4th, but had to extraced from the car by the medical crew, and was taken to the medical centre, and then to hospital for CT scans. Once back in the UK I had follow up X-rays, and have since been given the all clear.
