"Something Leftover From The Last," strives to increase awareness around the cleanup of the Bayview Hunters Point District’s waterfront in relation to health risks it poses to its young residents. The project offers insight into airborne health issues such as asthma and other potentially fatal diseases through its visceral storytelling. By actualizing a space for the youth to voice their emotions around the theme of the project, the performance exposes stories from those who sometimes remain nameless, faceless, powerless, and uncounted in plans to oversee removal of toxic waste from the neighborhood’s waterfront.
