The refugee camp in Kilis hosts more than 12.000 Syrians uprooted from the country’s civil war. This container is a home of a family of five. In addition to her own two children, and her disabled husband, 24 year-old Henna Hassan has to take care of her sick baby niece.
Nine-month old Fatmeh is suffering from severe breathing and digestion problems. She lost her father during the bombings in Syria. Her 16-year old mother, after losing her husband became depressed and abandoned her baby girl to escape to Lebanon. Since then, relatives have no news about her.
Henna is taking care of Fatmeh in addition to caring for her husband Samir, who was injured in the bombings and now he spends most of his time in bed, unable to walk.
