They include an explanation of the importance of Ceuta as a geographic enclave, the origin of AFRAG Merini, and a description of the walled city and its various units. It renders clear their evolution through history, and details the restoration that has been carried out.
Project Overview: Temporary exhibition exploring the history, ruins, and restoration of AFRAG. It is an impressive walled city of Arabic origin, from the first half of the fourteenth century situated in Ceuta, a place which sees different cultures, merge. The exhibition analyses the origin and historical context, as well as the archaeological preservations of this relatively unknown, but important, architectural heritage.
