Travel back in time. The town of Matador, Texas was established in 1891. Today, you can still see what it was like to live on the frontier.
Members of Friends of the Historic Motley County Jail, just like their pioneering for-fathers, won't take no for an answer. They are fighting mighty hard to preserve their frontier heritage. This promo was used to successfully raise grant funding to create a series of short documentary movies that are played in the jail as part of a self-guided tour. Tourists, history buffs, and school children have a unique interactive experience. Sitting right in the historic jail, they see the exciting history of the frontier West unfold before their eyes.
This promo video and the subsequent 7 short documentary movies were produced by Whistling Boulder Productions, Inc; written and directed by Marianne Leviton.
