KALEIDOSCOPE DREAM Exhibit
This vivid exposition of regional, musical and spiritual reflection is composed of the memories and experiences in P. Scott’s lifetime. Kaleidoscope Dream craftily assembles fragments of P. Scott’s recollection of childhood, adolescence and adulthood with mature quality. Each piece morphs his awareness of previous love, struggles, and familial recognition. As a unit, it is evident P. Scott has branded the number 4, red indicator arrows, inclusion of fabric and bold black and white shapes as signifying features of his work. Individually, the viewer is rewarded with an intimate peek into a moment in time or, if they observe closely, a philosophy he has acknowledged.
Instead of exclusively expressing his adoration for a single category of music or particular woman he rewinds to his childhood pleasures and how they have grown with him. Though his body of work is resolved, Scott doesn’t hesitate to initiate questions of identity, religion, and urban indulgence. This contemporary urban expressionist show acts as a time capsule from early eighties to present, a direct result of the music, artwork and nostalgic energy. The remnants of his past combined with the constantly changing color of his future are the translation of Kaleidoscope Dream.
