A trip through the Isthmia (Corinth) Canal in Greece.
In 2005 we stayed in the Peleponese Region of Greece and took a wonderful trip through the Isthmia Canal. This canal was cut by hand, started by the Romans, and finished by the Greeks several hundred yrs later. The walls are 80 metres high, and the canal is 12 metres deep. The canal was blown up by the Germans in WW2 and took 5 years to re-open.
