For Sixties Survivors, I'm tracking down some of the same people who were first photographed and profiled in LOOK Magazine during the pivotal 60s decade. The issues they were dealing with include politics, poverty, nuclear confrontations, civil rights, Vietnam, protests, the culture wars, drugs and spirituality. This video explains the project and provides an example of the kind of stories I'm documenting with each of my subjects. In this case, Lewis Marshall was a black teenager living in Selma AL when the voting rights movement changed his life. I have a demonstration web site with some of the 40 individuals I've been able to reach so far. That's at sixtiessurvivors.org. My goal is to reach a total of 50 to 75 individuals.
