Day 9 of the Mile Marker 28 Fire (aka Shinando Canyon) viewed from the southwest. Camera angle was changed late-morning to center on the more active northwestern portion of the fire. Hard to say much about fire behavior, but IMHO the most interesting day so far in terms of clouds and winds aloft...they traveled in every direction at some elevation or another. Interestingly, the Goldendale RAWS station had pretty steady SW to W winds. The sequence from 1200 to 1400 is pretty sweet.
