This was a short test of the newfound raw video capabilities of Canon DSLRs with Magic Lantern. I shot this on a 550D which isn't capable of HD due to its smaller buffer. I just wanted to get a quick idea of how applicable it is so I shot this completely hand held. I found that the more extreme the aspect ratio, the more apparent resolution I could get so I chose an ultrawide 5:1 ratio. While editing the footage I found that there were a lot of artefacts. This is particularly noticeable in the first shot where there seems to be red pixels lining the net. I'm not sure if this is noise or something else. I'll do some more tests at a later date. I shot this with an 18-50mm f/2.8 Sigma lens at ISO 100-400, added a light grade in DaVinci Resolve and edited in Premiere Pro.
