For Palestina it’s Masafer Yatta. For Israel it has become Firing Zone 918. This is the village where Edu, an Argentinian photographer, has moved to in 2009: the Awad family is now his family, Arabic his language and photo-documentary his life and duty in this part of the world.
The world-known conflict is usually nothing more than a background noise to the simple life of this population and the beauty of the landscape, but what’s the inner motivation that makes Edu live in caves in the desert, surrounded by ready-to-fire settlements, for years?
