"Your job is not to completely eradicate those [bad] thoughts, your job is to be a traffic cop ...they make sure that the traffic keeps moving and it doesn’t pile up"

ask for help when spiritual problems develop, not when they are fully formed because
then it will be too late and much more difficult to uproot/remove.
