Narcissus Training Program
is a video installation that tells about the current egocentrism. The private has become public. We want to be our own idol and we expose ourselves in favorable light on social media and public channels to collect credits
for an apparent celebrity status.
The artist Daniel Andersson shows, in a straightforward manner, his workout in a basement where he conducts his training with a mirror and the echo of his own groaning as his only company. His almost perverse desire for his own (functional) body is confirmed in the "meaningless" hard work that leads to nowhere, other than to a self perceived pain / pleasure.
