“God desires a personal relationship with you.” This statement has been said in churches for thousands of years but what does it mean to have a personal relationship with a being that you cannot see with your eyes or hear with your ears? Many have come to think of God in impersonal terms. The Divine Creator, the Divine Sustainer, the Unmoved Mover all have been used by people when they speak of God. Yet, the Bible clearly describes God as personal, present, and intimately involved with our lives. This week we look to understand the personal nature of God and explore why baptism is so important to that relationships.
