The Banff Centre invited Ron Chapple, Aerial Director of Photography for Aerial Filmworks, to collaborate on a project for Banff-Lake Louise Tourism. Following an amazing day of perfect weather and smooth production, Ron spent several hours teaching an aerial cinematography workshop to the Centre's work-study students.
Students were able to get a hands-on look at the Cineflex V14HD. The Cineflex gyro-stabilized system is manufactured in the USA by General Dynamics, and is the "workhorse" of the aerial filming industry. The newest Cineflex Elite delivers the highest quality aerials with the ARRI Alexa camera on feature films, television shows, and commercials.
All production, editing and color-grading by The Banff Centre.
Special thanks to The Banff Center, Alpine Helicopters, Mark Tierney, Woody MacPhail and Todd Langille.
