There is satisfaction in being able to tell a story in which some people can identify themselves and can reflect on the worlds that surround us. This is a stop on the road to collect pieces of my personal memory--to think about who we are and where we are going.
At the corners of my Queens neighborhood there are flags from different countries where they sell the idea of the misconceived "American Dream," where you work without rest, and there is no time to dream. Consumerism is predominant, but at the same time, some people are hungry, families are divided, living more in houses than homes, and where friendship is virtual.
