Video contains some moments, statements, readings and photos of the public book presentation in Koper (26 July 2013) and Ljubljana (presentation there was on 30 July 2013). Book in scope is a selection of poetry and prose written by Nicaraguan-Salvadoran poet Claribel Alegria and entitled Več kakor zloščen kamen (Mas que piedra pulida), published by KUD Police Dubove in Ljubljana. This book in Slovene language is a first translation (done by Taja Kramberger) of Claribel Alegria's poetry and prose in any Slavic language, while Claribel Alegria is a laureat of the KONS International Literary Award in its second edition in 2013. First laureat of the KONS award in 2011 was Iztok Osojnik, a poet, translator, essayist and cultural animator from Slovenia, who was present at the presentation in Koper and read a poem of Claribel Alegria... The award was founded by three women, poets, intellectuals and active public figures Taja Kramberger, Tatjana Jamnik and Barbara Korun from Slovenia as a “non serviam” gesture against general marginalization of women in literary field (and in other fields of artistic work and creativity) on one hand and as an affirmative act of critical thinking on the other hand. It is given to the writers/poets - female or male - whose lifelong engagements – literary and human - delineate a consistent and subtle trajectory and were consequently performed under the sign of common good for all people.
