Surfing short - Shot with Nikon Camera's and NIKKOR Glass. The Land Rover LR4 was key to achieving my vision of documenting surfing in Iceland by helping us access hard to get to surf breaks. We had an aggressive production schedule to shoot all the content and a very short window to do it. We couldn’t afford to deal with stuck vehicles and the Sand Traction Control mode on the LR4 worked flawlessly allowing us to get close to surf breaks with all of our gear. We had a great crew. Two top surfers in Mikey DeTemple and Eric Soderquist and an amazing support crew in Chris Burkard, Chad Copeland, David Gilman & McKenzie Barnie. We pulled some crazy hours since it’s light for 20+ hours a day in Iceland this time of year and towards the end of the trip the sky never really got black but stayed an ethereal blue. Iceland is by far one of my favorite places on the planet.
