In 2004 Pearl Jam asked us to go out with them and shoot a film about the Vote for Change tour. They were inspired by our previous skate films (Fruit of the Vine, Northwest and Tent City) and wanted us to give their film the same vibe. We were inspired by early politically charged music documentaries like Gimme Shelter, David Bowie and the Spiders From Mars and Woodstock.
The film follows the band from pre-tour rehearsals, across the US and back to the voting booths in Seattle on election day.
This was a great opportunity for us to work with legends like Neil Young, John Doe, Tim Robbins and Peter Frampton who all shared the stage with Pearl Jam.
