The Mahabhuta Yoga Festival 2013: Year of the Water Serpent
Serpent is a spiritual sign of wisdom, rebirth, and spiritual growth, so what is of value this year are deep experiences and breakthroughs. In India, the wise serpent is said to be the guardian of the yogi and gains immortality by continually shedding it's skin, always ready to spring into a new version of itself. Time to shed your old skin with transformation and guidance at this year's 2nd annual Mahabhuta Yoga Festival!

The Mahabhuta Yoga Festival is hosting 24 regional yoga studios in the amazing Sanders Beach Community Center 17,500 square foot facility in Pensacola, Florida. There will be twenty-four yoga workshops over the weekend in either the “Water” room suitable for 300 people or the “Serpent” room suitable for 75 people. In addition, there will be LED Hoop performances, a kids tent, a marionette show, henna artists, organic & vibrant food, numerous artists and yoga-inspired vendors all open free to the public. The talented Sean Johnson & the Wild Lotus Band will offer Kirtan on Friday evening and on Saturday evening Rising Appalachia will perform on location at Sanders Beach Community Center.
This is the second annual event highlighting the talents of regional yoga teachers, artists, healers, and musicians from New Orleans, Louisiana to Seaside, Florida. Pensacola has been chosen because of its’ natural beauty, Southern charm. It is also the perfect location to bridge all of these yoga communities along the Emerald Coast.
A portion of all the proceeds will fund the Mahabhuta Yoga Foundation. We will fund a scholarship for a Gulf Coast resident to participate in a local yoga teacher training from one of our participating studios.
We are so grateful for your support in making the 2nd annual annual Mahabhuta Yoga Festival a reality.
