Produced by Fastpitch.TV - This week we have part one of a clinic by David Williams, Keep Your Head In The Game.
This episode of Fastpitch TV is packed full of detailed strategies for any fastpitch softball coach. We join Coach David Williams, Head Coach at Moorehead State University at Softballcon. Part one of David’s session is loaded with information about how to read the defense, offense and pitcher and provides information about how to adjust your game for a win.
David then turns it around and gives you just as much information on your offensive game. According to David an important aspect is directed at your pitcher, your pitcher needs to be able to adjust their game to the umpire’s strike zone, not their own. He doesn’t just cover information to coach your pitcher, David gives insight into the importance of surveying the field before the game along with the multiple functions of your third base coach.
In game coaching tactics starts before you even get to the game. Coaches, you must always be thinking a few steps ahead in every game so you can anticipate what may happen and adjust your team whether its defense or offense. You won’t want to miss this episode of Fastpitch TV!
