"Jenny Moore’s video performance acts as a stage for ‘Roger,’ an alter-ego that emerged throughout her workshops as a way to walk the line between fiction and reality, suspicion and the suspension of disbelief. This rock-opera anthem suggests a mutual learning that materializes in the space between artist, young person and artwork in the gallery, a devious space where anything can happen. Filmed in the currently inaccessible Turbine Hall, Jenny interrogates how our understanding of ‘now’ might be altered through physical space in a specific instant ‘On the moon. In the dark. Without language. In a time warp. Lying on the concrete floor with a tube stuck to your forehead recording the image of the sky through the rafters.’ (Jenny Moore)"
