As the lead single from their debut album and the first visual offering from the band ‘Cloud’ needed to be attention seeking and rebellious. With no particular desire to appear themselves, the Killing Fields wanted a video that was congruent with the ‘intensity and atmosphere’ of the track. And so did I. The stage was set for a breath-drawing and emotional film.
A domestic scene. A boy is caring for his terminally ill mother in a pressure cooker of suburban anxiety and disquiet. Whilst that tale is sad enough, it’s only the beginning of their story.
The video was premiered by Clash and featured on prestigious blog For Folk’s Sake.
