The Dynamic Grid project is a reactive touch system deployed to a NY audience in April 2013. We designed the Beta to test the feasibility of a simple, branded content browser that could scale into digitally enhanced architecture of various shapes & sizes in the future.
The content lives in a fluctuating grid system reacting to motion and proximity of passing foot traffic. Touching a piece stretches it open to view while highlighting related content based on a traditional tag system. The initial test screen is a matte, 55" capacitive multitouch. It has since been scaled to a commercial-grade 82" and is in testing for a larger array in 2014.
