The video shows a simulation of 6 pulse-coupled oscillators synchronising both phase and frequency. In order to allow large difference in starting frequencies, the oscillators are allowed to synchronise to integer multiples of each others' frequencies.
A self-assessment algorithm allows each oscillator to assess its level of synchrony with the rest of the group, providing a confidence measure. A highly confident node will make smaller frequency changes than a node with low confidence.
