In August 2012, Cinira Macedo took part of the last edition of “The Solo Performance Commissioning Project” from Deborah Hay. In this project D.H. transmits a solo dance to twenty dancers, as well as tools from her research and daily practice in dance. She guides and coaches each one in the performance of the solo during an eleven-day period in a residency setting. At the conclusion of the residency each participant signed a contractual agreement to a daily solo practice of “Dynamic”, for a minimum of nine months before their first public performance. A compromise which will allow the discovery of each one´s adaptation.
