Purpose: Activate and strengthen muscles required to move in bed. May be used if moving in bed is painful.

Lie flat on back:
1. Squeeze buttocks
2. Bend knees slightly and press heels into the bed contracting hamstrings
3. Feet together squeeze knees together and lift buttocks half way
4. Lift buttocks as high as comfortable.
5. Perform 10 times each.
*If pain develops revert back to #1.
