This is my combo's rendition of Horace Silver's "Song for My Father." Nate Lisbin (piano) starts out the tune with his typical piano intro before grooving into the first chorus via an afro-cuban rhythm. Charlie Thai (saxophone) and Alex Price (guitar) play in and out of harmonies and unison throughout the head before Charlie breaks into a "tenor sax" solo. The next solo is played on piano and lastly on guitar before we fade out in that solid cuban groove we had established earlier. The other two members of the combo include Jonas Fiant on drums and Kevin Myers on the upright bass.
