Whilst visiting the gardens at Kew, I found them to be strewn with an assortment of references to the Old World; Ancient Rome, Greece and other civilisations, through architecture, the plants themselves and their often majestic bionomial names.

In light of this, Titan Arum explores the somewhat obscure concept of discovery; alongside both appropriation and reappropriation, with the Old and the New World.
