A disruptive art invasion took place to promote an instore art show and increase brand awareness for the art and entrepreneur launchpad madelife. A roaring team of artists took to the streets and reversed the traditional idea of an art walk by walking around downtown Boulder showcasing local art. Vibrant art was chosen from the store’s plethora of canvas and print pieces and strapped onto individuals to carry around. A dialouge was created with Pearl Street goers asking them what they enjoyed most about art. Steet chants were shouted like “art is power” which got swarms of people clapping and honking for art and madelife.
The stunt was a huge success with a high turnout for the art show, enthusiastic responses from the community, and 150+ stickers and fliers given out. Much like the graffiti art movement it got art out of a gallery setting and into the streets so the everyday person could appreciate art.
