This is my first project at Columbia College. It was my introduction to documentary work and where I gained my passion for documenting social/political injustice. This short is about my grandfather who fought in Korea. The short does not focus on him fighting in the war but his fight after returning home. Many veterans like Raymond Collins suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, a mental illness that only gets worse with time. This story is in honor of my grandfather and the many others who suffered trying to protect our country, only to return with no one willing to protect them. This film was edited using Avid. A lot of quality was lost unfortunately during compressing.
