In 1984, Marc Koska was working as a yacht hand in the Caribbean when he stumbled upon an article predicting that HIV would spread like wild fire because of unsafe injections. Appalled at the prospect of what seemed like an avoidable catastrophe, he decided to try to find a solution. What he found was a world of ignorant, lazy and corrupt politicians, corporations with no regard for human life, and a health care system that seemed not to care.
