Common Sense Media – an independent nonprofit that rates and reviews media for kids – asked us to help them create a song and music video that could teach 2nd to 5th graders about digital citizenship – the idea that everyone needs to be kind, responsible and respectful online. That’s quite a mouthful already, and we had to make it sing-able?!
We worked with Common Sense Media and composer Joel Pickard of Hatfarm on the concept and lyrics to the song and then created colorful, iconic characters who could act out and model the behaviors that we wanted the kids watching to emulate and learn.
