Shot this time lapse in May 2009 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The first event at the Speedway in 1909 was a balloon race, in that spirit for the 100th anniversary of the track, balloon events were held on the grounds. This video captures two of those events, a balloon night glow and the start of a balloon race the next morning.
This is my first time lapse. First. Ever. Had some idea of what I was doing from examples I looked at online, but.... There is some exposure popping, a few other issues I didn't realize I needed to watch for until I looked at the files afterward. But come 5 years from now, how can anyone see how I've progressed if they haven't seen my first effort. So here it is.
