In commemoration of the 150 anniversary of the Civil War, here is one of many events being held to reflect on the event which occurred from 1861 -1865.

"On Thursday, August 22 from 6-7:30pm, join us for a spirited discussion based on The New York Times: Disunion, a collection of essays and articles regarding the legacy of the American Civil War. Dr. Edward Ayers, president of University of Richmond, will lead a panel in a discourse on how the war is remembered, the meaning for Virginia, and its influence upon diverse demographics. Panelists include Dr. Edward Ayers; Clay Risen, an editor of the New York Times; Lauranett Lee, curator of African American history at the Virginia Historical Society; Robert H. Moore II, editor of Cenantua's Blog; and Ed Sanders, head of interpretation at Richmond National Battlefield Park."
