Without marking edges as hard - No nasty un-smooth edges - irrespective of curvature. Increase "plus subdivision" value to get tighter corners.

Bonus tip when capping ends - use the 'subdivide polygons' with 'X' it works better than Max - specially if your sub-d'ing the model.
